Abstract
In this study the influence of the players' heights on the issues of the games was examined using the results obtained from Tokyo and Mexico 0lympic basketball league tournaments. The main points considered were as follows : 1. Relationship between the players' height and the ranking. 2. Analysis of winning techniques. 3. Relationship between the heights and the techniques. 4. Evaluation of the techniques of the teams participating, considered from the viewpoint of the heights. Through clarifying these points, some suggestions as to how to form an effective scheme or combination of techniques particulary in relation to Asian players who have a disadvantage from the viewpoint of height may be found.
