Abstract
During the middle ages, the art of public entertainment established its unique way of circulation. According to Futsu Shodo Shu (conserved in the Todaiji Temple), the meaning of public entertainment was defined within a particular system, though public entertainment had a broader meaning than it has today. The Noh drama, "Fushi-Kaden," while based on a myth about the ancient Tenno system, describes its collapse by getting away from the system and its restrictions. In that sense it corresponds to the Noh drama "Miwa." Yet, hidden is the tendency to return to the Tenno system.
