Abstract
The teaching of literature in universities has long been considered to be integrated with the studies of literature. However, I think what is needed today is to consider "teaching" of literature as an issue of "education". The emphasis should be put on the cultivation of students' thinking faculties, which is an indispensable part of literature studies. It is getting more and more difficult to delineate the definite field of literature both in "studies" and "teaching". I'd like to propose that on invigorating direction for "education" could be found in a new relativistic approach to literature.
